The Midrange is a space for audio work that is neither journalistic nor fictional. It might be described most accurately as an experiment in sound-based essays. The Midrange is guided by two foundational impulses:

a love of well-crafted language out loud
and
a dedication to the process and form of honest, personal inquiry.

Unless otherwise indicated, all pieces are written, produced, and edited by Patricia Petelin. Petelin is a graduate of the MFA program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is a playwright, educator, and day-job holder. She lives in Flagstaff, Arizona.
